Cristina a 31 year old female patient presented with unusual age related symptoms.

She is a professional Personal Trainer and thus training / teaching physically 5 days a week with Clients.

She noticed 3 years ago that her left hand and fingers started to tremble apparently out of the blue.

About 1 year ago she also noticed the same symptoms in her right hand.

She consulted various Orthopaedic Surgeons and Neurologist who came after several scans and neurological tests to the conclusión her suffering from an Essential Tremor.

An Essential Tremor is a nervous system (neurological) disorder causing involuntary and rhythmic shaking.

It can affect any part of the body, but the trembling occurs most often in the hands particularly noticable with fine motoric actions or with the outstretched hands.

Essential tremors can occur at any age and start gradually and are more prominently on one side. It can later affect both hands and worsen movements fatigue and stress.

The condition is considered to be either genetically inherited (familial tremor) or age related (over 40) disorder.

In the case of the above patient no obvious neurological signs were noted, however the fine vibration sense and a slightly decreased sensibilities in her fingers were found.

Her left first rib dysfunction lead to a general decreased strength and mobility in her Shoulder/Arm.

The symptoms and findings lead to the conclusión to improve the irritation of the brachial Plexus and to stimulate the nerve endings of her fingers/tips with electro therapy.
