Dr. Zilla Huma

Dr. Zilla Huma is a distinguished Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Endocrinologist with a comprehensive career that spans over two decades. Her extensive education and focused expertise in paediatrics and endocrinology place her among the top specialists in her field.

Educational Background and Medical Training: Dr. Huma’s medical journey commenced at Glasgow University, where she earned her medical degree. She specialized further in General Medicine and Paediatrics at The Royal Hospitals for Sick Children in Glasgow, as well as Manchester and Westminster Children’s Hospital in London, completing her MRCP and MRCPCH exams in both adult and paediatric medicine.

Advanced Specialization: Dr. Huma’s pursuit of specialized knowledge continued at Cornell University in New York, where she undertook a fellowship in Endocrinology. Her excellence in the program led to her promotion to Attending/Assistant Professor after passing the US medical board exams.

Professional Achievements: Dr. Huma later returned to the UK to serve as a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Endocrinologist at Wexham Park Hospital and Oxford University. For 19 years, she led Regional training for Paediatric trainees, managed the Regional Diabetes programme, spearheaded local research, and served as the head of the Department.

In 2015, she assumed the role of Clinical Director of Children’s Services at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, enhancing her expertise in bone health.

Current Practice: Since 2021, Dr. Huma, along with her husband, has been dividing her time between London and Marbella, continuing her practice privately in central London. She specializes in providing top-tier care in paediatric endocrinology and bone health.
