Dr Catherine Spinou
Catherine Spinou is an ENT surgeon with a subspeciality in Head & Neck and thyroid surgery. She completed her medical degree in Greece and did her postgraduate training in the UK. She did a fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia and returned to the UK where she worked as an H&N surgeon in the West Midlands before coming to Gibraltar in 2019.
Miss Spinou has great experience in the field of H&N surgery and has been the H&N MultiDisciplinary Team lead at her hospital for many years. She has authored and co -authored a number of publications and has presented her work in national and international meetings. In Gibraltar she has established close links with the Royal Marsden H&N team.
She has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of:
- H&N pathologies benign and malignant,
- Thyroid disease benign and malignant
- Parathyroid disease benign and malignant
- Voice disorders
- Swallow disorders
Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Member of the ENT UK Association of the Royal College of Surgeons England.
Member of the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists (BAHNO).
